about TakaEspion

Hello, I'm Takaespion.
Nice to meet you!

I've been playing Pokémon GO since the first day it was released in Japan.

I quit playing it right after that, but my relatives started playing it and invited me back in the summer of 2018.

It was in the summer of 2020 that I started taking AR photos for Gosnapshot in earnest. I'm still a work in progress, but I want everyone to experience this peaceful and wonderful view of the world. So I came up with this site.

There are many ways to have fun, such as battling at gyms, GO Battle League, Legendary Raids, capturing lots of shiny Pokémon, and trading lots of Pokémon, but I think one of the best ways to have fun is to go out with your Pokémon buddy and take pictures of various Pokémon, so I hope you'll give it a try.

It's still difficult to make a full-scale trip with the COVID-19 pandemic, but I'm sure there are some great spots nearby.

I still have a lot of Pokémon that I haven't taken pictures of yet, so I'd like to enjoy them and upload them here as well.

My fav Pokémon

Initially, I didn't have a Pokémon as my top choice, but I fell in love with Togekiss when I first walked around with him as my buddy and made him my "best buddy".

>>My fav Pokémon is Oshi-Pokémon in Japanese.

Encounter with Pokémon

When I was in elementary school, my first encounter with Pokémon was when a younger friend in my neighborhood let me play his Game Boy and "Pokémon Red and Green".

Gameboy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Boy

The first game I bought and played on my own was "Pokémon Gold". I was already in high school when the Game Boy Light, a device that glows even at night, was released, so I bought it as a set and played with it. When I was in high school, I was a member of the baseball club, and we practiced every day until nightfall at a field more than 30 minutes away from school by bicycle. I would often stop by a penny candy store on my way home and play games while eating sweets, because I knew I could take the device outside to play games. It's a good memory now, but I don't remember the story of the "Pokémon Gold", even though I cleared it all the way through!

These were the only two times I played the original Pokémon, and I had no connection with Pokémon at all until I played Pokémon GO. New games come out all the time, and the goods, animations, and movies are great, but for now, I'd like to keep enjoying Pokémon GO, even if it's only loosely. I hope you will continue to support me.

...

These are my Pokémon stories from the past.

How long have you been playing with Pokémon? Some of you have seen all the anime but never played the games, some of you buy the clothes because they are cute but don't know much about the characters, and so on.

Everyone has their own way of enjoying and meeting Pokémon, but why not add taking AR photos with Pokémon GO to the list?

As a side note,

this image is the first AR photo I took.
It has a stamp on it to hide the people in the photo.

It's been a long time coming.

Future with Pokémon

I believe that AR will develop further in the future. The technology and the way we play with it is still in its infancy. At the moment, you need various techniques to take pictures, but I believe that in the future, you will be able to take your Pokémon to your favorite places more easily, and various expressions and movements will increase. So I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy it.

Greeting

Are you enjoying the photos?

I'm taking pictures of many more Pokémon. I'll keep updating this page, so please look forward to it.

There are also AR videos and TakaEspion's collection, so be sure to check them out. I hope you'll try to capture as many Pokémon as you can with GOSnatshot.

Have fun!
